This article originally discussed proposed changes to New York’s solid-waste rules. DEC later adopted revisions to the Part 360 series, effective July 22, 2023. The proposal should no longer be treated as a description of pending changes.

Use the adopted rules for the relevant material

The revisions cover several types of waste facilities and activities, including waste transporters and construction and demolition material. The DEC adoption notice and rule documents provide the source information. Requirements depend on the material and activity involved; the original proposal was not a general disposal checklist for every business.

Distinguish everyday cleaning waste from project debris

For a cleaning plan, we confirm which bins our team will empty, where bags will be taken, and when collection areas can be accessed. Building collection arrangements remain part of that discussion. Construction debris, regulated waste, and other special materials need separate arrangements.

Our janitorial services include agreed everyday trash and recycling tasks. For renovation cleanup, see our post-construction cleaning services, and tell us about the material and work involved before requesting a quote.
